The Pre-licensing Course can be completed in the classroom or via virtual classroom or distance learning. If you opt for the classroom version, you will receive an MV-278 Prelicensing Certificate of Completion. All courses follow the same syllabus, regardless of the version you choose to take. When you have successfully completed your course, the instructor will notify the DMV automatically, and you don't need to show an official certificate when taking the driver's test.
